Dorian Reade was born on May 12, 2348 in London as the only child to Ava and Isaiah Reade. His parents never really wanted children and so after his birth they made efforts to make certain that they never had another child. It’s not to say that Ava and Isaiah weren’t loving parents they simply had no desire to have any. Just before he turned thirteen years old Dorian’s parents moved them to York where his father had purchased a new family home.
Dorian met Melissa shortly thereafter and immediately found that he had a crush on the girl from York. It took him years before he had finally convinced her to go out on a date with him and before he knew it, they were married. After completing High School Dorian went on to become a writer and journalist. He took a job with the Federation News Service just prior to the start of the Dominion War and not long after marriage. He remained on Earth during her assignment to the Ganymede only joining her after the war.
Dorian moved to Starbase 119 with his wife and in 2375 his son Trevor was born. He continued to publish articles, wrote some books, and created two holosuite programs all while continuing his career. Over the next six years his second son Dillon was born and he continued his work.
In 2388 his wife Melissa decided to leave Federation service and together they left for Stelvik Station. He opened a bar there with limited experience running one. But, his wife Melissa signed onto the idea as something different. So he left writing behind and his work with FNS.
