Charles Washington was born in SY 60. His father Ethan had high expectations for Charlie, and it was enough to drive Charlie into taking drastic action. At just the age of ten years old, in SY 70, Charles slipped aboard a freighter with no knowledge of where it was going. Eventually this is how he ended up on Stelvik Station.
Charlie managed to get himself adopted after spending a year at the station orphanage. He was adopted by Daniel Beckett and his wife Rebecca. Charlie began working on freighters for Eclipse Logistics when he was seventeen years old.
Charlie became a dispatcher for the company in SY 80, two years after marrying Annie and the same year his daughter Melanie was born. The two of them got married shortly thereafter. Charlie became heavy into politics on the station even joining the Uvel Free League. He was eventually able to rise to a junior Executive Position by SY 84.
In SY 87 he’d made enough friends within the upper board that when the Chief Executive retired Charlie was able to get a shoe in. They voted him to the position and the following year he took his new role at the company.
