Norman Grayson was born in the city of Dublin on Earth as the middle child between his two sisters Erin and Leila. When he was eighteen years old he joined Starfleet enlisting at the rank of Crewman after taking some college courses. In 2377 he met Elizabeth Grayson while serving aboard the USS Galaxy.
After three years of service aboard the ship himself and his wife had two children that they named Owen and Olivia Grayson with his daughter being the younger of the two. By that point he was a First Class Petty Officer and serving as one of the Transporter Room Technicians.
Norman would eventually be transferred to a new ship that was much smaller than the Galaxy. His wife and two children moved to Earth. He missed much of his children’s early life, having to take leave back to Earth regularly. In 2388 he was promoted to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and transferred to Stelvik Station as one of the non-commissioned Operations Officers.
