Sebastian Hayes was born in SY 53 on Stelvik Station. Sebastian was always a happy go lucky kid who always just wanted to help people out. He would go out of his way to help any of his friends or family, and so it was no surprise when in SY 71 he started to attend Stelvik University to pursue a career in the field of medicine. He spent eight years there and graduated in SY 77 before beginning a career at Helix Medical Center.
During his medical residency he met a young woman named Margaret and the two would get married shortly afterwards. Sebastian learned that his wife couldn’t have children, though that didn’t stop him from loving her all the same. He spent a great deal of time trying to solve that problem. By SY 80 he’d thought he’d made a breakthrough several times only to have each one fail.
In SY 84 his wife Margaret became very ill. Most likely it was due to the medical experimentation and attempts at different medication. Despite this, Sebastian pressed forward trying to cure the illness by using a series of extreme measures. About halfway through the year Margaret died, and Sebastian became lost after that. He began experimenting on others trying to figure out what went wrong until SY 85 when he was found out. Following a medical review board he lost his medical practicing license and was fired. He’s been a drifter on the station ever since.
