Sebastian Hayes was born in 2353 on Earth. Sebastian was always a happy go lucky kid who always just wanted to help people out. He would go out of his way to help any of his friends or family, and so it was no surprise when in 2371 he left for Starfleet Academy to pursue a career in the field of medicine. He spent eight years there and graduated in 2377 before being promoted to the rank of Ensign and beginning his residency at Starfleet Medical Center.
During his medical residency he met a young woman named Margaret and the two would get married shortly after his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. Sebastian learned that his wife couldn’t have children, though that didn’t stop him from loving her all the same. He spent a great deal of time trying to solve that problem during his tenure at Starfleet Medical Center. By 2380 he’d been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was made the Chief Medical Officer for the Trauma Wing.
He would be promoted again in 2384 and shortly thereafter his wife Margaret became very sick. Most likely it was due to the medical experimentation and attempts at different medication. Despite this, Sebastian pressed forward trying to cure the illness by using a series of extreme measures. About halfway through the year Margaret died, and Sebastian became lost after that. He began experimenting on others trying to figure out what went wrong until 2385 when he was found out. Following a medical review board he was forced into retirement.
