Stelvik Station (SB-812) is a collaborative writing group set in the Star Trek universe. This simm is written by a small group of writers who’ve been writing together for a number of years. Stelvik Station is an independent simm, meaning we are not part of any major fleet groups. The simm’s current year is 2388 and the class of station is Nor Class, located along the Cardassian/Federation Border.
What to expect here?
This is a collaborative writing group that has written together on and off for a number of years. While we do appreciate applications from new and potential members, our group is small and very tight knit. For us this is a hobby, and we’ve created a drama free environment. This can potentially change with new members that we know little about and as such we rarely accept new members.
The stories that are written by this group are for the enjoyment of us to write and for those who wish to read them. Do not expect to be automatically welcomed here, though we are willing to consider it.
Canon
The members of this simm sat down and discussed what we felt was canon and what wasn’t canon. After much deliberation and conversation we determined what we would consider to be canon vs. what we consider to be expanded universe and therefore non-canonical.
Canon is discussed in the Rules page. However, anything that falls in J.J. Abrams or Kurtzman Trek is considered non-canonical and therefore expanded universe. Therefore, the destruction of Hobus & Mars along with anything in the newer Trek shows is non-canonical. Books and games like Star Trek Online are also non-canonical.
How it works?
Stelvik Station (SB-812) is a bit old fashioned, and by that I mean we do our collaborative writing with either email or google docs. The writing is then transferred to this site. None of the other members are granted accounts to the website unless it’s necessary.
