Amelia Baird was born in SY 62, along with her twin brother Jack. They were both born on Stelvik Station to Andrew and Lauren Baird. Much of Amelia’s early years were spent trying to learn how things worked across the station.
In SY 80 Amelia applied for and was accepted to Stelvik University with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. She graduated school in SY 84 and got a job working for the station engineering part of the government.
Her abilities continued to expand and she later joined the Technocratic Party. Amelia was able to quickly work her way up through the government engineering corps.
By SY 88 Amelia had been selected to fill the role of Station Engineering Chief following the retirement of the previous holder of the position. There were a number of things she wanted to change about the way the station functioned, and one of her first goals was to fix some of the failing infrastructure.
