Isabelle Duncan was born in SY 55 as the only daughter and child to Carter and Tiff Duncan. She had a rough childhood, her mother was a heavy drinker and her father was a gambling addict.
Despite this, she tried her best and pushed as hard as she could to succeed. There may have been no love in the household, but she always swore she’d do better than either of her parents. This was especially true in regards to her mother.
In SY 72 she met the man she thought she’d be with forever, Rhys Bennett. They started dating despite her age. The following year they became married because she saw this as a means to get out of the house with her parents. By SY 78 she’d become pregnant with her twins.
The pregnancy was perhaps the happiest time in her young life, more so than her marriage. However, it was a dangerous pregnancy and it took a toll on her body and her mental state. It also took a toll on her marriage. Shortly after her twins were born is when things really came to a head, and she felt she had no other choice but to drown them. Rhys caught her, and she fled.
After being on the run for six months and hiding wherever she possibly could, Isabelle was caught and arrested. She was formally convicted due to her decision to not plead anything other than guilty. Her psychological state has not improved much, and the separation from her children has made that a lot worse.
