In 2376, Charlotte Preston was born to Blake and Freya Preston. Due to the size of the ship where her parents were serving at the time she remained back on Earth where she was born during leave that Freya had taken. Charlotte lived with her grandparents Joel and Ruby Clarke until 2379 when she was three years old.
Charlotte spent the rest of her early childhood on board Outpost 19, though visited her grandparents quite regularly. She would also regularly get herself into some trouble due to her curious nature. Shortly after Charlotte had turned twelve years old her parents were reassigned as command level officers. Charlotte went with her mother aboard Stelvik Station while her father was reassigned back to the ship where her parents had served previously.
