Amélie Moneaux was born in 2366 in the city of Marseille, France as the second of twin girls. Her sister Celeste was born fifteen seconds prior to herself. Her parents Alexandre and Gabrielle Moneaux lived their entire lives in the city and still do to this day. Unlike her parents though, Amélie had other ambitions and they were in the stars.
Almost immediately after she turned seventeen years old she had applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted into the class. That same year her sister Celeste, who had gone everywhere with her and gotten into trouble with her, was also accepted. Unlike her sister though Amélie chose to go into the field of mechanical engineering.
After four years at the Academy and struggling in some of the more advanced math and physics classes she did manage to graduate from the Academy in 2388. She had wanted to be assigned to a starship, but instead her first posting would be aboard Stelvik at the rank of Ensign and as one of the station’s engineering officers. Amélie was even more excited when she discovered that her sister had also received the same posting.
