14-year-old Hayden Logan is the son of Emma Logan and Erick Edwards. When he was less than a year old his father Erick Edwards disappeared, it is unknown what exactly happened to Hayden’s father. Either way, Emma changed Hayden’s last name from Edwards to Logan. Hayden Logan was born in 2374 on Terra Nova. His mother Emma Logan is one of the scientists on Terra Nova, and Hayden lives in Logan City with his mother.
Hayden, and his mother Emma, are descendants of Mark Logan whom the city is named for. Much of Hayden’s time has been spent trying to determine what ever happened to his father or school. In 2388 while his mother was back on Earth visiting Hayden’s grandparents Jack and Avery Edwards he met Paige Cohen.
Just before Paige left for Stelvik Station both him and Paige agreed to remain in contact and traded contact information. Shortly after meeting Paige for the first time Hayden learned that her father was a Starfleet Officer, and the future Captain of a Nor Class Station. It was after that when Hayden and his mother Emma returned to Terra Nova.
